Whipfart ("the app") is a small, client-only web app. There is no backend server and no user accounts — the app itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. This page explains the exceptions: advertising, analytics, and affiliate links.

Motion data

If you enable motion, the app reads your device's accelerometer to detect a whipping gesture. This processing happens entirely on your device, in your browser — it is never sent anywhere, logged, or stored.

Your fart counter

The "Farts triggered" counter is saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only, so it's still there next time you visit. We have no access to it and it is never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Analytics (Umami)

This site uses Umami, a self-hosted, cookieless analytics service, to see aggregate visit counts (e.g. how many people visited, roughly which country from, which pages). It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you across other sites, and does not share data with any third party — it runs on our own server, not Google's or anyone else's.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. To do this, Google may use cookies and similar technologies, and may collect data such as your IP address, device identifiers, and browsing activity, to serve and measure ads and, where permitted, personalize them based on your visits to this and other sites.

If you're visiting from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, a consent message lets you choose whether to allow personalized advertising before any such ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your cookies and revisiting, or via the links below.

This site includes an Amazon affiliate link. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. If you click the link and buy something on Amazon, Amazon may set its own cookies to track that the purchase came from this site — we don't see anything else about your Amazon account or order.

Cookies

The app itself does not set any cookies, and neither does our analytics (Umami, see above). Cookies you may see are set by Google's advertising services or by Amazon, as described above.

Children

This app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
